ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities
Provide project management services for IT projects
Coordinate and perform essential functions in the Arconic IT Project Management Office
Operate with Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic BU/RU IT Standards
Work across a global IT team to share information and best practices
Key Objectives
- Own the end‑to‑end delivery of assigned IT projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met. Coordinate and lead multiple teams to ensure meticulous planning, timely execution, and adherence to Arconic’s IT project management methodology.
- Act as a hands‑on leader in strengthening PMO governance by applying and refining project intake criteria, governance checkpoints, and reporting. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies in current PMO processes and lead practical improvements that increase clarity, accountability, and execution discipline across the portfolio.
- Define and implement process improvements to our project management methodologies that improve governance while minimizing additional administration.
- Partner with requestors, IT leaders, and Arconic business/resource units to define and prioritize work aligned to strategic goals and available capacity, providing early visibility into resource constraints to improve sequencing, throughput, and delivery predictability across the PMO portfolio.
- Support the governance of policies and procedures established by the Arconic IT Project Management Office. This includes maintaining our project management standards, developing IT roadmaps, and facilitating executive-level reporting processes.
Provide project management methodology training to new project managers.
- Manage the IT communications process, partnering with cross‑functional IT teams to plan, create, approve, and deliver clear and timely communications that support technology initiatives and service changes.
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years’ minimum experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
• Previous experience operating in a project management office
• Ability to work across different teams of people, and ability to motivate and align them all on the goal of completing a project
• Ability to effectively manage time, scope, and cost of planned work using appropriate verification techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Experience leading projects related to cybersecurity and IT infrastructure
• Experience managing IT projects in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Planview PPM or similar tools
