The IT Project Manager at Access Bank PLC is pivotal in driving the successful delivery of technology projects that align with the bank's strategic goals. This role entails overseeing all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, while ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The IT Project Manager will collaborate closely with various teams, stakeholders, and vendors to facilitate effective communication and project alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
- Develop, execute, and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of projects.
- Monitor project progress against milestones and performance indicators and report on project status to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and issues, implementing proactive measures to mitigate impacts on project timelines and quality.
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project alignment.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards and best practices in project management.
- Conduct post-project reviews to assess outcomes and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head IT Project.
- Coordinate end users training before delivery of solutions
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field.
2. 2-3 + years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on delivering technology solutions in the banking or financial services sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies
4. Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
5. Scrum Master Training
6. PRINCE2
7.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and work collaboratively across departments.
8. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
