The IT Project Manager will plan, organize and manage LEAF implementations for S&N. They will work closely with the S&N Sales Teams, S&N IT Teams and the Customer’s Clinical and IT teams to ensure projects are completed on time on budget and within scope.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams through Presales and Implementation

  • Oversee and follow up on the status of Business agreements, technology agreements, and security assessments for Customer/Business requirements.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases. 

  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. 

  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to identify issues, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements. 

  • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes. 

  • Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news. 

  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of projects, including scheduling kickoff meetings, requirements gathering, analysis, build, testing, and launch 

  • Travel is required, including the potential for international travel 

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience 

  • Minimum Five years of experience in the IT field, including software/hardware implementations, and interactions with customers 

  • Strong Communication abilities 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and Time Management 

  • Experience in the Healthcare Field preferred

  • Experience with HL7, EMR, Wireless Networks, IT Security highly desirable

  • PMP Certification preferred

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $86,000 - $100,000 USD annually.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
