Project Engineer (PE) is a key role in the Denver region and requires technical project management skills to see projects through from implementation to successful completion. This individual will act as the key resource for recommendations related to new projects which include the creation and presentation of project proposals and statements of work. In addition, the PE will work closely with the Director of Technical Implementation (DTI) to coordinate all project work to ensure on-time completion.
As a Project Engineer in Executech’s Denver region, you will play a key role on the team and be responsible for the success of projects and onboarding new and existing clients. Collaboration will be key to your success in this role because you will be working closely with several lines of business and will need to use your impact and influence skills to achieve your objectives. A strong technical skills set will be essential in creating and scoping projects to deliver accurate proposals to clients. You should operate as a technical PE and drive excellence to help deliver an exceptional client experience. You will be an integral member of the Denver team and be expected to live Executech’s values.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Management
- Lead, coordinate, and manage all projects assigned to you to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with DTI to define project scope, goals and deliverables that align with objectives.
- Work with the DTI to create detailed work plans, resource plans and project estimates.
- Manage project work plans to ensure on-time completion.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs and develop a plan to communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder communication and drive engagement.
- Facilitate decision making for both clients and internal teams.
- Prepare and deliver project updates as needed.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and internal partners.
- Measure and track project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain a dashboard to show progress to internal team members.
- Drive efficiency with a goal to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Perform quality assurance assessments on completed projects and communicate results to internal team.
- Work closely with Account Executive and assist with pre-sales coordination.
- Work with procurement to prepare quotes for all required resources.
Growth Objectives
- Identify new opportunities for growth with existing clients.
- Coordinate with region/department leaders to support execution of Denver’s growth efforts.
- Collaborate with Sales and Client Success teams on sales engineering opportunities and tasks.
- Consult with clients with an attitude of continuous improvement to ensure their IT environment continually delivers on uptime targets, increases productivity, and meets their business objectives.
Technical Expertise
- Deep technical knowledge of Office 365: Sharepoint, EntraID, user management, Exchange management, Retention Policies
- Implementing Conditional Access policies in EntraID
- Use of Powershell to automate tasks for different modules in O365 (Sharepoint, Graph, Exchange, etc.)
- Use of tools to assist in automating Sharepoint migrations and EntraID device migrations
- Use of tools to automate cloud Email / Data migrations ( BitTitan , AvePoint)
- On Premise server migrations, Active Directory concepts such as FSMO role holders, replication, DFS, FSRM
- Log analysis to find cause of issues
- Understanding Exchange Mail Flow rules, experience setting up external spam filters is a plus
- Set up of SSO applications using EntraID/GSuite directories.
- Set up of Hyper V / ESXI virtual infrastructure, creation / migration of VMs.
- Configuring / troubleshooting of network equipeent such as firewalls, switches, access points. Conceptual understanding is most important but brand familiarity with products like Sophos, Fortinet, Unifi, Meraki, Sonicwall, Aruba, Cisco is a plus.

Service Delivery
- Grow and maintain relationships with client POCs throughout the project lifecycle.

- Partner and communicate with Project Engineer daily.
- Understand and contribute to client IT roadmaps.
- Contribute to the creation of client technology documentation resulting from project implementation.
- Understand the importance and process of new client on-boardings to ensure a seamless network transition.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Organize project reporting and analyze data to identify trends to promote efficient delivery of projects.
- Track project performance, perform quality controls, and create plans to address issues.
- Prepare and manage project reporting, performance against key metrics, and communicate to the leadership team.
- Monitor project hours utilization, obtain approval from client when necessary, and prepare change orders.
- Create post-project client feedback surveys and implement actions plans to address issues with a continuous improvement mindset.

Skills and Qualifications
- Critical thinking skills through the troubleshooting process- taking past knowledge and applying it to a new unknown problem. Extrapolating a solution for a new issue from knowledge you already have.
- Google-Fu
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably with an MSP.
- Knowledge of MS Office products.
- Experience being an escalation point that others look for answers.
- ConnectWise experience preferred (not required).

Physical Demands
- Occasionally reach overhead, kneel, climb, and stand.
- Occasionally lift and carry between 5 - 20lbs., push/pull between 20 - 50 lbs., squat, crawl, walk-slippery surfaces, walk-uneven surfaces, and bend.
Hours of Work:
Typically, this is a M-F, 8:00-5:00, at times you may be asked to work nights or weekends to fit to the clients needs.
