IT Product Owner I
SUMMARY: Under close supervision, the Product Owner I is responsible for defining the overall process vision, and innovation, and helps guide the product development process within Motion IT. This role identifies the customer, stakeholder, and development team's needs and works with each cross-functional team. The Product Owner gathers feature requests, schedules releases, and coordinates sprints. This role manages the development project from start to finish.
You must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.
JOB DUTIES
- Manages low-complexity products through the entire lifecycle, and supports decisions regarding enhancements throughout the lifecycle until product End of Life(EOL).
- Analyzes preferences and requests of customers and defines product features according to customer needs.
- Reviews and prioritizes backlog for sprint planning, including coordination of dependencies.
- Implements product/solution development lifecycle process definition.
- Ensures dependency and deliverable are tracking across products/solutions/functions.
- Manages the program risk management plan and drives mitigation and resolutions.
- Ensures release is on plan and approved by all the stakeholders.
- Follows standard program management practices and collaborates with other members of the Product management organization.
- Collaborates with business owners, product scrum team, and stakeholders to establish timelines, workflows, and goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

- Communication skills.
- Understanding of business environment.
- Understanding of the products and their value added to the customer.
- Strong knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
