Responsibilities:
Plan for and manage the annual IT planning cycles and ongoing IT demand processes
Define, measure, and report IT portfolio KPIs and metrics to ensure overall portfolio health and identify trends and improvement areas
Streamline and work with program and project managers to facilitate their regular reporting process
Ensure optimal resource allocation and forecasting to meet IT portfolio objectives
Manage the production of executive level reports and visualization of data to help ensure alignment of the project portfolio and department objectives with the organization’s strategic goals
Align with business functions and Finance as needed
More About The Role:
Serve as an IT Portfolio Manager responsible for providing information technology portfolio analysis support to gain greater transparency into IT investment portfolio and identify optimization opportunities. The responsibilities include working with a process improvement team to recommend and support implementation of IT portfolio management process improvements to streamline current operations and increase the visibility and effectiveness of IT planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE); supporting the implementation of IT governance and portfolio management policies and procedures; developing and supporting customized artifacts, templates, guidance, training, and analytic tools to mature client processes; and providing advice on DoD IT governance and portfolio management framework and enterprise architecture.
Qualifications:
Required:
An active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 years of experience with IT management of progressive experience with enterprise IT
7 years of experience with IT management and strategy
Experience with IT Portfolio Management, project management, enterprise architecture, and process improvement
Experience with stakeholder engagement, research, gathering data, conducting quantitative analysis, and presenting analytical findings effectively to senior leadership
ITIL v3 Foundations certification
Desired:
Experience with DoD O365 or Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of current federal IT strategic priorities, including Cybersecurity, Cloud hosting, shared services, legacy system modernization, and data center optimization
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, as it applies to the portfolio, IT Service Management, and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) enterprise architecture
Ability to work independently to drive thought leadership in a high-volume client environment and apply expertise in complex policies to support client decisions affecting IT requirements and procurements
Experience working in a DoD Contracting Environment
Experience with supporting a DoD or IC
