IDEALFORCE has a CONTRACT position available immediately for a IT Planning Analyst  to join our customer in Phoenix, AZ. This is an ONSITE position. Please find below additional details about this job. Hiring Manager would like to have all qualified candidates interview face to face.  LOCAL CANDIDATES are considered for this role. 

IT Planning Analyst will work within the Business Engineering team. The successful candidate will fulfill a critical role in the identification and design of data into useful report outputs which can be analyzed to identify business needs across State agencies, categorize key Information Technology (IT) requirements and planned projects, and synthesize this accumulated information into a format which can be utilized in developing a comprehensive Statewide IT Plan.

Job Description

• Participate in developing a methodology for analyzing unstructured or loosely-structured business and IT plans from state agencies;

• Collect and validate data to be used in development of a sustainable process;

• State business and IT plan research with collaborative follow up with authors to obtain clarification and further details;

• Tabulate and cross-reference the concepts identified in State business and IT plans;

• Identify and research other appropriate inputs which could be utilized to draft the Statewide Strategic IT Plan;

• Recommend programs for inclusion in the Statewide Strategic IT plan;

• Research and cost-benefit analysis of the recommended programs contained in the Statewide IT Plan

• Draft a business case for the recommended programs;

• Draft portions of the Statewide IT Plan

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years IT experience with exposure to both strategy and execution of IT initiatives;

• Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience;

• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;

• Demonstrated ability to lead discussions and make presentations;

• Strong reading, analytical and critical thinking skills;

• Solid experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills, Abilities & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience developing or influencing enterprise technology strategy;

• 2-3 years in an IT management role

• Prior experience at any level of government is desirable (Federal, State, County, Local);

• Ability to influence and gain acceptance;

• Ability to work as a key member of a team;

• Ability to meet critical deliverables on schedule;

• Must be able to work independently with high-level requirements and minimal supervision.
