IT Operations Specialist, Network

At GN’s Digital, Data & Information Technology organization, we are working across the globe to enable and secure the technology behind GN’s innovation. To enhance the operation and maintenance of our global IT infrastructure, we are now looking for a skilled IT Network Operation Specialist to join our Enterprise Platforms & Cybersecurity (EP&C) domain and contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.

The team you will be part of

In the EP&C domain, we are IT professionals fulfilling many roles - from IT supporters and architects to operations specialists, leaders, and delivery managers. Together, we design, build, and run global platforms and technologies, including networks, servers (on-prem and cloud), databases, backup/restore, communication & collaboration, identity & access, end-user devices, IT service management, and cybersecurity.

Located in our Warsaw office in Poland, you will be part of our IT Network Team, which operates globally and has a significant presence in EMEA. We deliver a comprehensive range of network services to global end-users. We focus on the core & cloud network while also encompassing a broad understanding of IT infrastructure operations. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing network performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing 24/7 support to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

• Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor performance & availability of the network infrastructure. Identifying and addressing issues swiftly to prevent any disruptions to operations.

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner. 

• Patch management: Make sure that our network infrastructure is patched and software upgraded according to vendor’s best practice. 

• Handling Service request: Solve standard requests and support the business in their day-to-day requirements. 

• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and compliance e.g., Operational Handbooks and Knowledge articles.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations. 

• 24/7 Support: Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide after-hours support, ensuring that all systems are monitored and always maintained. 

• Continuous Improvement: In close collaboration with our core & cloud network teams to identify opportunities for improvements and to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. 

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you have:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network infrastructure operations.

• Experience in any of the following technologies: Cisco DNA, SD-WAN, ISE, WIFI & Checkpoint firewalls.

• Communicate with ease in English, both written and verbal.

• Experience in CATO, Aviatrix, or Cloudflare (beneficial).

• Experience working with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Datadog (beneficial).
