Key Strategic Objectives: IT Ops & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of IT systems, networks, and hardware to ensure business continuity.
- Ensure uptime, availability, and performance of critical retail IT systems, including POS (Point of Sale) systems, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
- Manage IT service desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues across retail stores, warehouses, and HQ.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to align with business needs and industry standards.
Key Strategic Objectives: Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead and manage a team of IT support professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with external vendors, service providers, and partners to ensure the delivery of reliable IT services and solutions.
- Negotiate contracts with IT vendors and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT equipment and services.
Key Strategic Objectives: Security & Compliance
- Ensure IT security measures are in place, including firewalls, antivirus software, data encryption, and access controls.
- Implement and maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding data protection and cybersecurity.
- Conduct regular security assessments, risk analyses, and system audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential threats.
Key Strategic Objectives: Strategic Planning & Improvement
- Work closely with senior management to develop IT strategies that align with business goals and drive operational efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance business performance and customer experience.
- Develop and manage IT budgets, forecasting costs, and identifying areas for cost-saving and optimization.
- Lead IT-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Experience managing IT operations in a retail environment, including POS systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop IT staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues effectively.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
