Position summary:
Allegion, a global leader in security solutions, is seeking an experienced IT Operation and Application Support to join our team. The IT Ops and App support will provide on-site technical and functional support and troubleshooting for our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, Applications and Infrastructure in collaboration with the international IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in IT operation and application sector, strong technical knowledge, and have excellent customer service skills, and good communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be empowered and accountable in providing advanced technical support and resolutions at a 1st and 2nd level to exceed end-user expectations per Service Level Agreement metrics for hardware and some applications (ERP & other related applications)
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for Allegion's customers, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues
• Provide ERP/CRM and other Digital tools hands-on support, including analyzing, specifying, proposing and partnering with subject matter experts to generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis to meet business needs using abilities and expertise around the assigned system area.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the proper functioning of IT systems and Infrastructure.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance and support.
• Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and customer interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies to provide effective support and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs and requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely support.
• Addressing the challenges of remote connectivity, security and application performance across multiple sites – Compliance with Global standards
• Defining and testing the IT infrastructure to support business continuity/disaster recovery – challenge the current landscape
• Demonstrate independent troubleshooting and decisive problem-solving
• Be proactive in leveraging internal and external resources to help resolve incidents and complete goals
• Accurately document business process, requirement, as well as system issues, technical design, changes and solutions
• Provide immediate technical support and solutions for office environments, manufacturing facilities, and warehouses (and to our other Business remotely)
• Assist in assigned projects to drive operational and IT improvements.
• Provide primary network, server, security, and application infrastructure support.
• Perform root cause analysis to eliminate reoccurring incidents
• Execute defined IT software and hardware lifecycle processes, including ordering, tracking, and deployment within defined performance metrics
• Focus on customer satisfaction and ensure excellent customer service skills (Behavioral skills)
• Support regular PC and Server Patching Deployments, Increase reporting granularity, reconcile with Security tools
• Prevent/monitor business risks from Infrastructure: ensure a continuous improvement approach by analyzing ticket and Performance metrics and mitigating risks with a specific action plan
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in IT Operation/Application role
• Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with IT security principles and practices.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Experience in a multinational environment is preferable
• Travel time up to 25-30% within Spain
