IT Infrastructure & Network Management
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, printers, tablets) and network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
Ensure reliable internet and network connectivity across all Zoomlion Kenya offices and sites
Perform routine system backups, monitor server performance, and manage data storage
Coordinate with ISPs and external vendors for network uptime and fault resolution
Manage user accounts, access controls, and directory services (Active Directory or equivalent)
End-User Support & Helpdesk
Provide first-line and second-line technical support to all staff across Zoomlion Kenya locations
Log, track, and resolve IT support tickets within agreed SLA timelines
Conduct user onboarding — set up workstations, email accounts, and software access for new staff
Develop and deliver basic IT training and user guides to promote digital literacy across the organisation
Software & Systems Management
Manage licensing, installation, and updates for all software applications (MS Office 365, ERP, fleet management systems, accounting software, etc.)
Administer email and collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace)
Support integration and maintenance of fleet management and operational systems used by the Operations team
Coordinate with Zoomlion Group IT on ERP system access, updates, and troubleshooting
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures including antivirus, firewalls, patch management, and access controls
Monitor systems for security threats and respond to incidents in line with IT security policy
Ensure compliance with Kenyan data protection regulations (Data Protection Act 2019) and Zoomlion Group data governance policies
Conduct regular security awareness sessions for staff
IT Procurement & Asset Management
Maintain a comprehensive IT asset register for all hardware and software assets
Raise purchase requisitions for IT equipment, software licences, and services in line with procurement procedures
Evaluate and recommend IT vendors and service providers; manage contracts and service level agreements
Coordinate warranty repairs and end-of-life asset disposal
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain up-to-date IT documentation (network diagrams, system configurations, SOPs, user guides)
Prepare monthly IT performance and support reports for the Country MD
Track IT budget expenditure and report variances
Any other duties as assigned by the Business
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Relevant professional certifications required: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified (e.g. MD-102, AZ-900); CCNA is an added advantage
Certification in cybersecurity (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CEH) is an advantage
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related IT role
Hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Experience supporting fleet management or ERP systems is an advantage
Prior experience in Kenya or East Africa; familiarity with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and CA (Communications Authority) requirements preferred
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi), Windows Server, and PC hardware
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
Experience with IT helpdesk/ticketing systems
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection best practices
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) an advantage
