IT Network & Security Engineer

• Provide functional expertise and guidance on network solutions designs;
• Operate and support the hybrid IT network infrastructure (on-premises & cloud), including firewalls, switches, routing, SD-WAN, VPN and WLAN;
• Administrate and further develop global network architectures in a complex IT environment with Cisco, Fortinet and other products;
• Participate in IT projects – from technical conception and administrative support to operational implementation;
• Ensure network availability and security through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization;
• Third-level support and management of rollouts and migrations;
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of global IT standards as well as participate in corporate-wide committees (e.g. security policies, network structures);
• Document and continuous improve deployed systems and processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field;
• Several years of solid practical experience in the implementation, operation and optimization of complex network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN);
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS, configuring virtual networks, routing, security services, and hybrid connectivity;
• In-depth technical knowledge of IP networks, switching (L2/L3), VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP);
• Comprehensive knowledge with firewall and proxy technologies based on Fortinet products;
• Ideally experience with FortiAnalyzer;
• Ideally network certifications (e.g., CCNA);
• Knowledge of 802.1x endpoint security, Zscaler and MS Entra Access solutions desirable;
• Technical leadership competencies (e.g. input on IT architecture);
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage;
• Structured, self-reliant working style and a high level of customer orientation;
• Effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners on IT infrastructure projects;
• Reliability, accountability, team spirit, and a proactive attitude;
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
