Job Summary:
The IT Market Director serves as the primary business relationship leader between the IT department and the Nevada Market health plan. This role ensures that the market needs are represented across IT for the market’s IT strategies, services, and solutions. Responsibilities include representing the Nevada Market’s interests within IT, advocating for technology initiatives, and overseeing the creation and delivery of market-specific dashboards and insights.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Market leadership with alignment to IT best practices
- Understand the overarching market business model as well as the intricacies and nuances of the functional business areas
- Understand the role of IT and IT innovation in the business to flesh out competitiveness-enhancing initiatives
- Coordinate closely with corporate teams to the IT Data and Product teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and information needs of the market are met
- Provide leadership and oversight of the Nevada lines of business and associated product lines
- Partner with operational leadership to support new and existing Nevada product initiatives including mandates and regulatory audits
- Act as a liaison and as a contact to executives, business sponsors, external state regulatory contacts including interfacing with state regulatory agencies as market CIO, and external vendors
- Ensure IT solution compliance with all state and CMS regulations and guidelines across all Market related programs, processes and procedures
- Oversight of Market application projects from inception/design through implementation
- Leverage personnel to develop new programs, systems and/or computing infrastructure in relation to Nevada products
- Validate business requirements for new projects and enhancements
- Ensure timely delivery of dashboards, analytics, and reporting to support strategic decision-making through dashboard creation
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Facilitate regular communication and updates between IT and market leadership
- Support IT project planning and prioritization related to the State Health Plan
- Monitor and communicate performance metrics and KPIs for the market
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Management of Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in information technology including five (5) years of direct experience in writing complex SQL queries, analyzing datasets, and leveraging platforms to support data-driven decision making and system optimization recommendations is required
- Minimum of five (5) years leadership and business relationship management experience required
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Medicaid or State Health Plan operations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and dashboard reporting
- Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively across teams

Compensation Range:
$132,900.00 - $232,700.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
