Responsibilities
Plans, operates and controls the IS Department. Prepares, implements and maintains Policies & Procedures (SOP) for the IS Department and for the users. Manages Disaster Recovery process.
Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and system users, provides and organizes daily support to the guests and users.
Manages PBX, POS and PMS software, and assures continuous connection with GDS and VPN with Head Office.
Manages LAN and Wireless network on the resort, and the resort email.
Monitors broadband usage and implements change, where necessary.
Prepares and implement preventive maintenance for all IT hardware and software.
Administrates servers and ensures regular (daily) backups are taken.
Maintains inventory, and monitors validity of hardware and software licenses and warranties and related maintenance and support contracts. Initiates renewal of contracts and leasing for systems and servers.
Recommends developments, upgrades and updates for software, hardware and new technologies.
Supervises the proper performance of system and computer equipment, troubleshoots hardware and software problems. Maintains a system error / progress logbook and deals with reported problems.
Establishes, manages and leads in the projects, technical strategies, costs, budgets and staff support requirements with new IT initiatives. Plan, assign and take the report from the IT team and suppliers.
Identifies and implements solutions to user challenges and concerns associated with the use of personal computer equipment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
A minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar role working in a luxury resort
Proven experience in IT support or administration.
Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
