We value in-person teamwork and believe the best ideas happen together. Our team is expected to be in the office five days a week in Palo Alto, CA unless explicitly noted otherwise in the job description.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Manager to support our team by triaging and resolving technical issues, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring employees are equipped with the tools and access they need to remain productive. The role involves onboarding and off-boarding employees, administering cloud-based systems, and implementing corporate security policies. You’ll be pivotal in maintaining seamless IT operations and ensuring a high level of service, both remotely and in person.

• Interact directly with employees to remotely triage application, laptop, network, and access issues.

• Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and IT procurement processes.

• Implement corporate security policies through appropriate software solutions.

• Administer and manage cloud-based tools, including application provisioning and automation.

• Ensure team productivity by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AV systems, shipping, and other operational needs.

• Provide detailed attention to IT systems while maintaining clear and effective communication.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with productivity SaaS platforms (e.g., Google Workspace/GDrive, Office 365/OneDrive).

• Proficiency with MacOS laptops, programs, and MDM (mobile device management) tools (e.g., Jamf or Kandji preferred).

• Familiarity with access and identity management systems (SSO, VPN).

• Deep experience with Okta.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Zoom, Meet, Slack).

• Proven ability to debug complex problems with minimal information.

• Basic command-line proficiency (Bash).

• Previous experience at a start-up, or at least the ability to work in a start-up environment.

• Experience with:

  • Databases

  • Backup and disaster recovery systems

  • Linux

• Understanding of application-relevant security concepts, including certificates and encryption.

• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).

• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Previous management or lead experience.
