Center is seeking an experienced IT professional to oversee the technical operations of our organization's help desk. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient help desk support, maintain network integrity, uphold system security protocols, and build the department with a process orientation. The role involves both designing and implementing IT policies and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role is expected to grow a team under them as the company scales. Come aboard and play a crucial part in preserving the efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.
This position will be required to work 60% from our Saint Louis Park office in Minneapolis, MN.
You Will Have the Opportunity To:
- Design and Implement IT policies and processes that scale with our business.
- Hardware Configuration: Manage setup, configuration, and maintenance of all company hardware devices including laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
- Software and Web Domain Renewals: Manage and renew both firmwide software licenses and web domain registrations to ensure uninterrupted service and online presence.
- Help Desk Support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to users during designated hours, including on-call support for EST and PST employees on an emergency basis.
- Systems Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of essential systems including Office 365, Zoom, Confluence, Slack, and other relevant platforms.
- WiFi Configuration and Maintenance: Manage WiFi networks, access points, and connectivity for all users and devices.
- Building Access Systems: Maintain and administer access control systems for physical premises.
- Scale a team over time to support Center’s growth.
- Network Security and Employee Training: Implement and enforce network security measures, conduct employee training on security best practices, and monitor for compliance with security policies.
- Network Configuration: Oversee network setup, configuration, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
- 4+ years of experience in an IT related role with extensive knowledge in managing technical help desk operations and IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software configuration, network administration, and security protocols.
- Experience with help desk systems, ticketing platforms, and ITIL best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and coach team members effectively.
- Familiarity with SOC compliance standards and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours and provide on-call support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or equivalent are a plus.
