IT Manager - Software Development

What does a successful IT Manager do?

You will manage our Software Development Team, being responsible for development and maintenance of payment services and solutions.

What you will do?

  • You will be responsible for building multiple scrum team which will develop and maintain payment services and Product enhancements with new features.
  • As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for working with Product, Solution Architects, DevOps / SREs and the leadership team to translate the requirements into payment services and solutions provided by our platform.
  • You are expected to lead multiple scrum teams with approximately 12 to 15 associates.
  • You are expected to be a Mentor and produce high quality output by effectively managing the scrum team. 
  • You will build highly scalable, highly available application in a micro services architecture.
  • You will lead the team with security in mind (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, web service proxies, firewalls, multi-protocol gateways.
     

What you will need to have:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Master degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience from developer to progressive leadership roles.
  • 2+ years of experience with direct accountability to build and lead a team to deliver on roadmaps.
  • Well versed in SDLC, Development and continuous delivery/continuous deployment within a large-scale organization desired.
  • Ability to lead hands-on team with a strong foundational development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring integration, Spring Security, Oracle SQL, RDBMS, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, on Agile methodology.
  • Experience in Restful APIs, API gateways, preferable Apigee.
  • Experience in Kafka or other Realtime Messaging platform would be added advantage.
  • Fluent German and English.

What would be great to have:

  • Knowledge in Containerization with applications deployed on Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in implementing complex full stack solutions and Micro-Services in large Enterprise organizations.
  • Experience in implementing high volume transactions processing applications with over 200 tps throughput.

Was Sie mitbringen sollten:

  • Abgeschlossenes einschlägiges Studium sowie mehrjährige (5+) Erfahrung als Manager im agilen Umfeld
  • Mehr als 7-jährige Erfahrung im Technologiebereich (ausgehend vom Entwickler hinein in das agile Management)
  • Ausgeprägte Problemlösungskompetenz (Problem-Solver-Mentality), Ergebnis- und datenorientiert sowie analytische Fähigkeiten
  • Tiefe Expertise in der Software-Entwicklung und in den folgenden Technologien: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Security, Oracle SQL, RDBMS, K8S, Helm, ArgoCD
  • Erfahrung im elektronischen Zahlungsverkehr
  • Erfahrung im Management von Erwartungshaltungen von unterschiedlichen Zielgruppen
  • Hohe soziale Kompetenz, Empathie und Teamgeist
  • Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit und überzeugendes Auftreten auf allen Hierarchieebenen
  • Strukturierte Arbeitsweise, Analytische Fähigkeiten, Durchsetzungsvermögen, großes Organisationsgeschick und hohe Lösungskompetenz (Team, Ziele, Kunden)
  • Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Wort und Schrift
  • Fließende Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse
