Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of experience in IT delivery, engineering management, or technical leadership, including 5+ years of demonstrated performance in a people leadership role
- Experience leading analysts and cross-functional delivery teams
- Experience leading custom application development initiatives, with a strong technical foundation and fluency in software development lifecycle practices
- Demonstrated experience improving delivery discipline
- Experience driving realistic estimation, milestone planning, and execution recovery

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $126,800 to $190,200 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

We currently have an opportunity available for a Manager on the Order Management team in the IT – Supply Chain organization, located at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO. The Order Management team lies at the heart of our supply chain, playing a critical role in building and supporting the systems that ensure the reliable and seamless creation and management of over one million orders annually. Collaborating closely with our business stakeholders, we develop solutions that drive efficient and effective operations at scale.
The Manager is an integrator of people and processes, a thought leader, a problem solver, a mentor to direct reports, and a trusted technology consultant to business stakeholders. This role requires strong domain expertise in Information Technology and Supply Chain, coupled with the leadership capability to inspire high-performing teams, translate strategy into execution, and align IT services with evolving business goals.
What will you be doing?
You will lead a growing team of 10+ analysts and developers - employees and contractors across the US, Costa Rica, and India - partnering with IT leadership, architects, business teams, and vendors to deliver technically excellent solutions.
You'll own the successful execution of complex application initiatives spanning custom development and enterprise platforms (including ERP), bringing strong technical fluency, disciplined delivery leadership, and rigor around engineering and quality standards. Working closely with Solution Architecture and Product Management, you'll advance delivery maturity and execution excellence as an active member of the IT leadership team.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Development
- Promote World Wide Technology's core values, corporate goals, and departmental initiatives
- Lead and mentor a team of individual contributors, with potential future responsibility for managing leaders as the team grows; set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and develop team members' skills to build a high-performing, engaged team
- Create and foster an atmosphere of mentoring, quality, diversity, and collaboration
- Manage your team, including hiring, training, staff development, performance management, and annual compensation review; identify and act upon the staffing needs of the team
- Guide the growth and development of team members in both technical and non-technical areas, supporting their current job duties and future growth

Delivery Execution & Risk Management
- Own end-to-end delivery execution for all work for the team, including custom applications and enterprise platform initiatives

- Identify and mitigate technical and execution risks early, and drive recovery plans when milestones are at risk or missed

Engineering & Quality Standards

- Ensure the delivery of fit-for-purpose, technically excellent solutions that adhere to quality and architecture standards
