Position Summary
LUTZE/Data Guide Cable, part of the Amphenol Corporation family, is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to own and execute IT operations across a multi-site manufacturing and distribution environment.
This role combines hands-on IT support responsibilities with ownership of longer-term initiatives in infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems improvement, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, growth-oriented organization that values innovation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys staying close to technology while also helping guide IT priorities and improvements. In addition, this role ensures alignment with Amphenol IT standards, cybersecurity practices, and compliance expectations, partnering with corporate resources as needed. The position is based in-office in Gardner, MA, with collaboration across our two locations in Gardner, MA and Charlotte, NC, providing exposure to a broader organization and cross-site engagement.

Essential Job Functions
- Provide responsive, hands-on IT support for plant and office users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly
- Manage and maintain core IT infrastructure, including networks (firewalls, switches, VPN, Wi‑Fi), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability
- Lead all user lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, endpoint provisioning, device management, and access control in alignment with security best practices
- Own system reliability through proactive management of backups, patching, monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness
- Support and optimize ERP systems (Macola or similar), including user administration, troubleshooting, reporting support, and coordination with business stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MSPs and external vendors, managing performance, priorities, and service delivery
- Strengthen the company’s cybersecurity posture by implementing and maintaining controls such as MFA, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and user awareness practices
- Ensure alignment with Amphenol IT standards and cybersecurity requirements, supporting audits, compliance activities, and documentation
- Identify, prioritize, and implement practical technology improvements, including process automation, reporting enhancements, and adoption of emerging tools such as AI to drive efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5–10 years of progressive IT experience with strong hands-on infrastructure responsibility
- Demonstrated experience in network infrastructure, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Proven ability to support end users in a business setting
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience with VoIP systems, networking technologies, and backup/recovery solutions
- Project Management
- Ability to partner with manufacturing, operations, and sales/administrative teams
- Ability to operate in a lean, multi-site environment
- Strong communication skills across plant and office teams
- Experience working within a corporate IT/compliance framework (e.g., Amphenol)
