About the RoleAre you a results-driven, team-oriented IT leader? This is the opportunity for you! As an IT Manager II, you'll participate in the execution and delivery of the team's VGOS (Vision, Strategy, Objectives and Goals), as well as define and provide metric and KPI based reporting to ensure activities maintain visibility and adhere to goals defined in the IT Annual Plan. In this role, you'll execute talent strategy to maintain a well-trained, high performing, and motivated team, build and maintain business and cross functional relationships to proactively meet customer needs / address issues, as well as create, maintain and improve own processes and ensure alignment to other connected processes. You'll assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving relevant IT stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility, provide resource estimates for the project pipeline and visibility to team resource availability, and coordinate between IT functional areas, customers and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of deliverables and risks.
Additionally, you'll maintain deliverables within defined variances for cost, schedule, and quality, and remain aware of and proactive to industry trends relating to area of responsibility. As a people leader, you'll manage reporting staff in day-to-day performance and job responsibilities, and ensure standards for templates and related project artifacts are defined and consistently executed, as well as manage the team’s budget for resources and infrastructure to ensure operating within organizational parameters and directives.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and manage intake process and triage/assignment of tickets
-
Oversight of SAP Support team workload, responsible to resolve conflicts/issues to keep team moving forward productively.

Facilitate/oversee prioritization of tickets/requests from business (business assigned priorities are not always appropriate, need a leader to step in if a team member has too many “critical/high” items on their plate to work effectively).

Drive clarity in feature requests, business process documentation, bug fixes to assure they are clearly understood and documented.

Create and maintain the overall business process and systems design.

Manage coordination of end-to-end issue resolution across teams (SAP is highly integrated, support team will need to coordinate frequently to resolve issues and capture upstream/downstream implications), including working with the technical/development team to assure enhancements and integrations are created and maintained.

Determine if existing support team is adequately staffed to support SAP (and integrated solutions) as Sierra Space continues to grow/scale -- this includes sourcing SAP team for remaining areas and considering additional ad-hoc support needs that could be filled through temporary subcontracting

Generate and maintain roadmaps that show where we are going and how we are tracking to plan.

Drive communications strategies to assure the business users are aware of system design, and system enhancements and changes coming over time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Possess an understanding of hypervisors, automation/orchestration of IaaS/PaaS cloud services
-
Experience managing hybrid cloud services.

Successful, progressive leadership experience working in a highly-matrixed environment
-
Demonstrated success recruiting, building, developing, coaching, and retaining a highly-motivated, high-performing workforce
-
Demonstrated success implementing successful long-term planning while adapting to immediate changing customer demands
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Typically, 4-6 years of relevant experience

Higher education may substitute for relevant experience• Open

Experience managing a team of 6 or more individual contributors

Experience defining and executing a cloud strategy, including hybrid cloud orchestration and automation

Demonstrated experience in the improvement of IT continuity framework and IT continuity plans

Demonstrated experience exercising strong project management and project delivery methodologies

Experience defining a configuration and optimization strategy and for infrastructure components, including the alignment of infrastructure decisions with the overarching business and IT strategies

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:$126,031.74 - $173,293.64
