About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Manager II to lead our End User Computing (EUC) Support & Engineering team. This role is responsible for driving the vision, execution, and continuous improvement of EUC services across a diverse environment that includes Windows, macOS, ChromeOS (Chromebooks), VDI platforms, and associated peripherals across multiple physical sites. The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with a passion for operational excellence, innovation, and delivering exceptional user experiences to a workforce of approximately 6,000 employees and contractors.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of 9 EUC engineers and support specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Design and implement scalable processes for endpoint management, support operations, and service delivery, with a focus on consistency and efficiency.
- Drive automation of manual and repetitive tasks to improve response times, reduce errors, and free up team capacity for strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps for EUC platforms and services, aligning with business goals and technology trends.
- Champion the adoption of AI technologies to enhance support capabilities, predictive maintenance, and user self-service.
- Oversee support operations for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS (Chromebooks), VDI environments, and associated peripherals, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Security, Networking, HR, Facilities) to align EUC strategies with enterprise objectives.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as incident response time, request fulfillment rate, first-contact resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for EUC-related hardware, software, and services.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for EUC initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing EUC or desktop engineering/support.
- Proven experience managing Windows, macOS, ChromeOS (Chromebooks), and VDI (e.g., Citrix, VMware Horizon) environments.
- Strong understanding of endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, Jamf, SCCM), identity and access management, and security best practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, developing talent, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing automation tools, AI-driven support solutions, and self-service platforms.
- ITIL certification or experience with ITSM frameworks is a plus.
