Role Overview

The Manager of I.T. Cloud Engineering is a Sr Lead Systems Engineer who also serves as technical lead and manager for a team of engineers.  This position is responsible for technical direction, project management, customer relations, stakeholder management, and ensuring product performance and reliability throughout the entire system lifecycle. 

This person will be responsible for the Entra/Azure tenant environment, M&A integration & technical solutions and design, SSO, and integration of various cloud systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage product requirements from internal and external customers, translating them into design and test requirements to ensure performance and reliability. 

  • Manage the technical aspects of the integration process, such as data migration, system consolidation, and infrastructure deployment, to deliver on project goals.

  • Lead and mentor subordinate team members, manage subcontractors, and grow positive relationships with customers and stakeholders. 

  • Ensure product performance, functionality, reliability, and manufacturability from initial concept through development and production. 

  • Assesses, plans, and oversees the technical integration of IT systems during corporate deals

  • Develop comprehensive technical integration plans and roadmaps. This involves defining the overall system architecture of the combined entity, outlining the process for data migration, system consolidation, and ensuring uninterrupted business operations on day one

  • Ensure the integration plan meets all cybersecurity and compliance standards. This includes securely integrating networks and data systems, as well as addressing any regulatory requirements that impact the technology.

  • Management and leadership skills to ensure a smooth, secure, and successful integration of the acquired company's infrastructure and technology into the parent organization

  • Analyze the target company's IT infrastructure, software, network architecture, and security posture to identify risks, costs, and potential synergies.

  • Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues related to authentication, authorization, and SSO. 

  • Lead the integration of various SaaS and custom applications into Entra ID, automating the process and ensuring operational excellence.

Skills and Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of system design, development, and integration. 

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering teams. 

  • Strong analytical skills to solve complex engineering challenges. 

  • Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders and technical discussions. 

  • Significant experience in a lower systems engineering role, demonstrating technical proficiency and leadership potential. 

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, and Identity Protection.

  • Integration it with Entra ID / Azure and third-party applications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Purview for data extracts and reports

Education:

  • Associates degree in IT, Computer Science, or comparable 4+ years with significant hands-on experience leading and executing M&A integrations in a corporate or consulting cloud environment.
