IT Manager, Support

So what does an IT Manager, Support do? Think of yourself as someone who leads both in the ground and remotely in ensuring our internal and external customers deliverables are well covered when it comes to Technology services. Main responsibilities will include driving the IT Support team’s overall performance in troubleshooting and resolving end users and end points incidents and service requests. Controls Technology issues openly and in high sense of urgency. 

As an IT Manager, Support you will:

  • Strong leadership and proven track record and experience leading and managing huge teams that are responsible to keep the Business functioning 24/7 for 365 days.

  • Resource management including capacity planning, resource allocations and assignments on day to day tasks.

  • Reviewing status reports and management updates/presentations to ensure they are timely, complete, clear, accurate and of high quality.

  • Ability to multitask, analyze complex problems, think creatively, communicate recommendations, influence change and drive process and discipline in a very dynamic environment.

  • Recommend strategies for business process improvement through automation solutions, while maintaining a serviceable, cost-effective infrastructure and design environment.

  • You want to oversee the administration and maintenance for both hardware and software for the company, providing additional support if necessary.

  • You will be the escalation point for any IT ServiceDesk issues that have been assigned to the IT Support team. 

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure for both EUC, Systems and Network. Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, remediations and maintenance.

  • You will also ensure accurate inventory and tracking of all IT hardware and software assets across all sites.

  • You will conduct effective performance evaluations and mentor those with less experience through formal channels. 

  • You will also help the team execute career development plans and encourage more innovators to take responsibility for their development within the company. 

  • You will challenge fellow innovators to progress toward their professional development goals. 

  • You will seek and participate in development opportunities above and beyond training required. 

Do you have what it takes to become an IT Manager,  Support?

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the technology field of End User Computing, Systems, Networking. 

  • Knowledge of Desktop, Service Desk and equipment as well as their installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair. 

  • Knowledge of I.T. requirements/demands in call center companies, particularly in the areas of Operations support.   

  • Skilled technical writer able to document problems and solutions for customers and other technical support personnel.  

  • Good supervisory and people-management skills. 

  • Strong time and project management skills.  

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

  • We’re also looking for someone who’s adaptive to changing work schedules and working hours. 

  • Someone who’s excellent problem determination technique and someone who’s excellent customer orientation. 

  • Well-organized, good follow through on commitments to customers, and strong when it comes to problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT / Computer-related course
