Summer IT Intern - IT Asset Management Program (ITAM)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented summer IT intern to join our IT Asset Management Program (ITAM). This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and optimizing IT assets within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing asset management strategies to manage the lifecycle of all IT assets
Maintain a complete inventory of all hardware and software assets, including purchases, licenses, and contracts
Ensure compliance with asset management policies and regulations
Coordinate with the IT team to identify and evaluate potential IT asset purchases
Support the procurement process by interfacing with technology vendors and contractors
Conduct regular audits, analyze, and report on the cost, performance, and value of IT assets
Help manage the disposal and replacement of obsolete or ineffective IT assets
Collaborate with various departments to optimize the use of existing IT asset resources and avoid unnecessary asset purchases
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with IT asset management principles and practices is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
