Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to support our IT team in day-to-day technical operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, user support, system administration, hardware and software troubleshooting, and IT asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Support user account creation, password resets, and access management.
- Monitor and maintain IT assets and inventory records.
- Assist in troubleshooting operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
- Support software installations, upgrades, and system updates.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and maintenance activities.
- Document IT processes, issue resolutions, and technical procedures.
- Assist in data backup and system security activities.
- Support implementation of IT policies and compliance requirements.
- Participate in IT projects and technology improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech/B.E., BCA, MCA, B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science), or related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and user management.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
- Exposure to ticketing/helpdesk tools is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in corporate IT operations.
