PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Ensure proper cable management, labelling, and compliance with industry and Air Products DT/IT standards.
Supervising installation, termination and testing *structured cabling* (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a, fiber optics) for data, voice, and CCTV systems.
Monitoring fiber Optic cable OTDR, fluke testing and documentation.
Layout of IT Room cabinets, mounting of Equipment and cable management with labeling and documentation.
Inspection and verification for the installation of communication cable that meets the project requirements.
Managing IT contractors, vendors, other external parties, coordinating for DT Infrastructure and support services.
Troubleshoot and repair damaged or faulty cabling, connectors, and network drops.
Assisting to DT Project team for installation and configuration of DMZ.
Performing site activities in compliance to the health and safety standards.
Receiving and executing the assigned task as per the Safety Work Permit requirements.
Development and approval of Job Safety Analysis/ Risk Assessment for assigned task.
Provide technical support for Microwave and/or Tetra tower installation and device management in collaboration with the external vendor.
Prepare, review, and maintain documentation for inspection test reports (ITR) and uploading to Aconex and OT.
Set up and manage temporary IT infrastructure, including network cabling, wireless access points, and VPN connections.
Provide local co-ordination for issue remediation & deployments with other DIS teams located remotely. Primarily, but not restricted to network & wireless services.
Provide local IT support, and maintain IT Standards including Safety for IT rooms within the incumbents of responsibility.
Provide information technology support for industrial control systems at site
Provide network hardware upgrades and installations for Maintain Viability work where Network Technical Support would not be performing this role.
Technically knowledgeable and driven to learn new things.
Must be highly motivated with good self-direction and initiative and work well in a remote team environment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with all levels of people in the organization.
Expected to work outside of normal business hours and weekends if required to provide technical support.
Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
Ability to assess and prioritize competing urgent issues.
Flexibility to respond and adapt to new, different, or changing situations, requirements, or priorities.
Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience
Good written and spoken English language skills.
Proven work experience in desktop support or other IT infrastructure areas.
Good Knowledge of PC clients including:
Operating Systems (Microsoft)Windows 7 / Windows 10 – Required

Printing – Queue setup, NW troubleshooting, HP hardware knowledge Software distribution/SCCM - Basic knowledge required

Microsoft SCEP/Windows Firewall
Virtual desktop infrastructure and/or Citrix
Other desirable skills/knowledge:
Familiarity with Industrial Control System (ICS).
Knowledge of other IT infrastructure tools and services such as networks, servers, security and voice.
Ability to work with strategic vendors, outside support/service providers and 3rd party vendors.
Good understanding of ITIL processes used by Air Products (Incident, Change, Problem, etc.)

Skills Required
- Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience
- Proven work experience in desktop support or other IT infrastructure areas
