The Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure & macOS Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure while also managing and supporting our Apple device ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure and be proficient in managing macOS and iOS devices using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide third-level IT support, both remotely and on-site, ensuring prompt resolution of complex technical issues.
- Manage and optimize virtual infrastructures, including VMware vSphere and Citrix environments, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Design and implement critical IT solutions, overseeing bare-metal servers in data centers and managing backup systems such as BackupExec and Veeam.
- Administer and support Microsoft Entra/Azure environments and Active Directory structures, ensuring seamless integration and security.
- Administer macOS and iOS devices using Jamf Pro, including the development and deployment of automation scripts, and create/update software packages for automated deployment.
- Manage and configure devices across various platforms using Microsoft Intune, implementing compliance policies, security baselines, and conditional access rules to protect organizational data.
- Drive client compliance and security management initiatives, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, and provide support for macOS users, addressing OS and application-related issues.
- Document system configurations and standard operating procedures for both IT infrastructure and Apple device management, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records.
Key Requirements
- Completed vocational training in computer science with a focus on IT infrastructure or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in managing IT infrastructures, including virtualization technologies and backup systems.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies, such as Active Directory and Entra-ID.
- Proficiency in administering macOS and iOS devices using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune.
- Familiarity with Apple-specific security mechanisms, including FileVault and SecureTokens, and experience in hardening macOS operating systems to enhance security.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including integration with other connected systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in German (C1 level or higher) and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
