The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse professionals around the world.Here, you will make an impact by:
- Network Reliability and Performance: Implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and related systems to guarantee consistent performance.
- System Administration: Managing and maintaining Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with company standards.
- Active Directory & Security: Administering Active Directory, group policies, and user access controls to safeguard organizational data and support smooth user experiences.
- Virtualization and Datacenter Operations: Overseeing virtualization platforms (such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar) and ensuring high availability and reliability in datacenter operations.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Partnering with internal teams and external vendors to resolve incidents, enhance system performance, and implement process improvements.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Supporting infrastructure projects and technology upgrades aligned with Solventum’s strategic and operational goals.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field AND 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or systems management.
AND
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing).
- Experience supporting datacenter operations and ensuring system reliability.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- English and/or Portuguese proficiency
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and tools (firewalls, intrusion prevention, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Santiago, Chile at least 5 day per week)
