As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering IT infrastructure for large-scale airport projects – from the initial sales phase through to final handover. You’ll work closely with customer architects, project teams, and engineering colleagues around the world to ensure our solutions meet and exceed expectations.
You’ll be the technical lead for infrastructure within each project, translating requirements into robust designs, guiding implementation, and ensuring the highest standards in security, scalability, and performance.
This is a global role with a strong mix of technical, strategic, and interpersonal responsibilities. Occasional international travel (around 5%) will be part of the job.
Lead the design and technical delivery of IT infrastructure within airport automation projects.
Collaborate with customers, solution architects, and engineering teams to align requirements and deliver tailored infrastructure designs.
Guide infrastructure implementation including networks, virtualization, remote access, and security.
Support the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure product portfolio.
Act as an advisor to sales and execution teams throughout project phases.
We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in IT infrastructure, a passion for innovation, and great communication skills.
You’ll need:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Around 10 years of experience in industrial or enterprise IT infrastructure.
Strong expertise in Windows/Linux systems, server-client architecture, and virtualization/containerization (e.g. VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure.
Understanding of security standards and practices.
Familiarity with hardware such as HPE, Fortinet, Cisco is a plus.
Fluent English skills (spoken and written).
A proactive mindset, team spirit, and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
Experience in airport baggage handling systems is an advantage, but not required.

A competitive salary: €6.200 – €7.300 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance), with potential to grow beyond this scale based on performance.
