Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, assisting internal staff with troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Monitor and manage incoming help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of user requests and effective communication throughout the process.
- Assist in network management activities, including monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Support the administration of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and OneDrive for Business, including user setup and permissions.
- Implement user access control policies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets, assisting with procurement processes as needed.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and enforce antivirus and malware protection strategies.
- Document solutions and create user guides for common issues to enhance the knowledge base for future reference.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to align IT support initiatives with business goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 3+ years working for MSP or similar IT Help Desk
- Strong understanding of network architecture, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and OneDrive for Business administration.
- Familiarity with User Access Control (UAC) principles and inventory management processes.
- Experience in providing IT support and managing help desk operations.
- Knowledge of antivirus solutions and malware protection strategies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing IT challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain a customer-focused mindset.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are a plus.
- Relevant experience with JumpCloud, SentinelOne, or Webroot are a plus.
