IT Help Desk Intern

biBerk is building a cloud-first, API driven, dynamic insurance platform that enables customers to purchase insurance policies directly online. Expanding our team, we are adding experienced Helpdesk innovators to enhance our support efforts.

This role is an entry level intern position. The IT Intern position will assist the other helpdesk team members to provision and setup accounts and equipment for new users, and assist users with basic technical issues. The focus of this position will be on learning the environment, how the biBerk helpdesk functions, and how the team contributes to a successful insurance organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Setup new users in Active Directory
• Setup new users with Office365
• Configure new laptops and desktops for employee use
• Assist with first level troubleshooting of user issues, escalate issues as necessary
• Remove user access when they are no longer with the organization
• Install software on desktops and laptops as required to support business needs
• Manage groups within the AD infrastructure
• Setup new users on the VOIP system
• Setup users as required in 3rd party SaaS applications
• Troubleshoot email issues within Office365
• Troubleshoot end user network issues

Qualifications

• The candidate for the intern position should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields
• Ability to work from 8AM-4:30PM ET, this is currently a hybrid role with both in-office and work from home days (subject to change).  Since it is an intern position, there will be more flexibility on the work schedule than a traditional role.

Preferred Technology Experience:

• Windows 10 and 11
• Understanding of Intel\AMD Desktop and Laptop hardware
• Active Directory
• Office365
• Basic networking concepts
• Basic security concepts
• Basic VOIP concepts

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith starting compensation is being provided.  The starting compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
