We are seeking an IT Functional Analyst – CRM & Marketing Systems who combines strong business analysis skills with hands-on experience supporting CRM and marketing technology platforms.

This role serves as the primary liaison between Marketing, Sales, and IT, translating business needs into system improvements, integrations, and scalable technology solutions that support demand generation, pipeline management, and customer engagement.

The Functional Analyst will help ensure that commercial systems are well-configured, integrated, and effectively used to support data-driven decision making and revenue growth.

This role works closely with business leaders, IT technical teams, and external vendors to evaluate processes, define requirements, implement improvements, and support the ongoing evolution of our commercial technology ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Marketing and Sales leaders to understand business processes related to lead generation, campaign management, pipeline tracking, and customer engagement
  • Facilitate working sessions and workshops to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements
  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved data visibility
  • Communicate system capabilities, limitations, and tradeoffs to business stakeholders in a clear and practical way

CRM & Marketing Technology Systems

  • Serve as the primary functional owner for CRM and marketing technology platforms, ensuring systems are configured and leveraged effectively
  • Support administration and configuration of CRM and marketing platforms, including user access, workflows, data structure, and process alignment
  • Evaluate system enhancements and recommend improvements that support commercial objectives

Integrations & Data Flow

  • Partner with IT teams to support system integrations across CRM, marketing platforms, analytics tools, and other business applications
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data flow across systems
  • Identify integration gaps, data inconsistencies, and system risks, and help develop solutions to address them

System Improvements & Project Support

  • Manage or support technology-related initiatives involving CRM and marketing systems
  • Assist with planning and execution of system enhancements, upgrades, and new platform capabilities
  • Coordinate efforts across business teams, IT resources, and external vendors to deliver successful project outcomes

Training, Documentation & Adoption

  • Develop and maintain clear documentation for system configurations, integrations, and business processes
  • Create training materials and user guides to support consistent system use
  • Lead training sessions and provide guidance to business users on new system features and improvements

Reporting & Data Insights

  • Support the integration and use of data across platforms to enable reliable commercial reporting and analytics
  • Partner with business teams to improve visibility into campaign performance, pipeline metrics, and customer engagement

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate will:

  • Improve integration and data flow between CRM, marketing automation, and reporting platforms
  • Help Marketing and Sales teams better leverage CRM data to improve pipeline visibility and campaign effectiveness
  • Identify and implement system improvements that streamline demand generation and sales processes
  • Strengthen reporting and analytics capabilities for the commercial organization
  • Establish themselves as a trusted advisor to commercial leaders on system capabilities and improvements

What You’ll Bring:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Degrees in Business Administration or Marketing may also be considered with relevant systems or technology experience

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Functional Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience supporting CRM and commercial business systems
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Infor CRM is preferred
  • Experience with marketing platforms such as Kentico or Sugar Market is a plus
  • Experience working with external consultants or technology vendors to implement and improve systems

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong ability to translate business processes into system requirements and solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Experience facilitating discussions between technical teams and business leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a cross-functional environment

Technical Proficiency

  • Familiarity with cloud-based and SaaS platforms
  • Understanding of web technologies, APIs, and system integrations
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, GA4, or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data integration tools, and system configuration
  • Experience managing user roles, permissions, and system configurations

  • Ability to guide functional leaders on system roadmaps, upgrades, and technology opportunities
