Join us and gain hands-on experience in IT financial management as part of the Office of the CITO. We are seeking a motivated college student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Economics, Engineering, or related field to join our IT Finance team. This internship offers practical exposure to financial analysis, procurement support, reporting and KPI tracking, project spending, and mobile device and carrier service management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with financial data entry, transaction recording, and maintenance of IT-related financial records.
Perform variance, trend, and ratio analyses to evaluate IT financial performance.
Compare project actuals with approved plans, help monitor spending rates, and flag potential variances for review.
Help reconcile project purchase orders and expenses to the appropriate project records.
Under the supervision of the IT Finance team, assist with creating and submitting purchase requisitions for IT goods and services, coordinating required approvals and supporting documentation, and tracking requisitions through purchase order creation.
Conduct financial research and analysis related to technology spending, suppliers, contracts, and procurement activities.
Support review of open purchase orders and commitments by researching outstanding balances, identifying items that may require follow-up, and preparing findings for IT Finance review.
Assist with preparing recurring IT financial reports and KPI dashboards, validating source data, analyzing notable trends or exceptions, and summarizing findings for management review.
Under IT Finance team guidance, document and evaluate an assigned IT Finance or procurement process and develop a practical recommendation to improve data quality, reporting, efficiency, or internal controls.
Prepare and deliver a concise presentation summarizing assigned analyses, project outcomes, and recommendations to the IT Finance team and relevant stakeholders.
Assist with managing company mobile devices and carrier accounts, including device and line inventory, orders, activations, deactivations, plan changes, billing reviews, mobile service cost allocations, and issue resolution with carriers.
Collaborate with IT personnel, Accounts Payable, IT Sourcing, and Corporate FP&A teams.
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking events to enhance professional development.

REQUIRED
Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a bachelor’s program in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
Minimum GPA 3.0
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
DESIRED
Familiarity with an IT service management platform such as ServiceNow.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion or PeopleSoft.
Coursework or familiarity with budgeting, global currencies, enterprise technology, IT service management, or Technology Business Management concepts is a plus.
