Skeletons, lasers, tattoo buses — the Torq brand grabs attention like nothing else in cybersecurity. And we're growing like crazy, backed by Series D funding, 200% employee growth, and 300% revenue growth. Fueling Torq's momentum is our game-changing AI SOC platform, backed by a team and culture that makes Torq one of Forbes' Best Startup Employers in America, and a Business Insider 'startup to bet your career on'.

Life at Torq is all gas, no brakes. We're a team of relentless, collaborative go-getters pushing the boundaries of what's possible for security automation. Every role is an essential driver of Torq's success as the AI-native autonomous SecOps platform of choice for security teams across the Fortune 500.

Join Torq as an IT Engineer and work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-growing, dynamic environment. While supporting employees remains an important part of the role, we're looking for someone who enjoys building, automating, and improving IT systems and processes at scale. The role is part of the CTO Office and works closely with employees and stakeholders across the entire company.

Responsibilities
  • Own the design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Torq’s global IT infrastructure, core SaaS stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta, Iru, Terraform), and identity systems.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain MacOS and Windows MDM systems (Jumpcloud / Jamf / Kandji) to enforce strict baseline configurations, automated patching, zero-day mitigation.
  • Proactively identify manual IT processes (such as employee onboarding/offboarding or access management) and hyperautomate them utilizing scripting and API-based integrations.
Partner closely with the Security team to implement and monitor strict corporate security compliance requirements, endpoint security baselines, updates, upgrades, and licensing.
  • Act as the senior tier for complex hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, while continuously evaluating and refining IT infrastructure performance.
  • Maintain highly accurate asset inventory, software lifecycle management, and clear technical documentation for all IT architecture and engineering procedures.
  • Provide technical support and enablement for employees across the company
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an IT Engineering, System Administration, or advanced IT Engineer role, preferably within a high-growth tech startup or enterprise cloud environment.
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and managing MacOS/Windows MDM platforms (Jumpcloud / Jamf / Kandji) - Must!
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and working with REST APIs to automate workflows and system tasks.
  • Deep technical expertise in troubleshooting, hardening, and supporting MacOS and Windows environments.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, at an executive/high technical level.
  • An engineering-first approach to problem-solving, self-driven learning capabilities for new technologies, and close attention to infrastructure security and detail.
Advantages
  • Experience working with Zero Trust access models and modern network security tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP).
  • Prior experience with workflow automation tools or building complex integration pipelines.

We build AI for a living,  and we encourage candidates to use it to prep, research, and sharpen their best work. But we're hiring humans, not chatbots. We want the real you.  Use AI to tighten your resume, prep for interviews, research Torq, and outline ideas for written responses. Show up as yourself for live interviews, final assessments (the voice, logic, and reasoning need to be yours), and anywhere we're evaluating how you think — not how you prompt.

Excited about our vision and ready to make an impact as we grow? We'd love to see what you can bring to the team.

Skills Required

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT Engineering or advanced IT role
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and managing MacOS/Windows MDM platforms
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Deep technical expertise in troubleshooting MacOS and Windows environments
  • Proficiency in English at an executive/high technical level
