Job Description- Ownership for designing and piloting new network architectures and deployments of next generation networks, utilizing SD-WAN and public Cloud technologies
- Developing and supporting the DevOps methodology implementation by utilizing Infrastructure as Code for automating rollout and operational processes, focusing on effort and cost reductions
- Ownership for tool landscape to administrate the SDWAN environment and automate network orchestration tasks
- Continuous development of technical and operational service architecture in a context of innovations, automation, network stability and reliability, security and costs
- Responsibility for release processes, operational / technical workflows and live deployments in complex production IT environments
- Driving escalation and problem management processes, coordinate complex incident and problem resolution on a global scale with internal IT teams and external service providers
- Efficient communication and valuable collaboration with external suppliers, e.g., managed service providers, software and hardware vendors, as well as internal departments, business units and group sectors
- Delivering global, complex projects on time and having a strong background in network technologies
- Performing feasibility studies and working on IT concepts, market research and vendor evaluations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment is essential
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge in the networking area: network topologies, IP protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, IPSec, SSL, VPN, DNS), dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Advanced Knowledge in automation for on-premise and virtual environments (e.g., Github, CI/CD Pipeline, Ansible, Terraform)
- Strong and experienced skill set to solve complex network problems/issues using appropriate diagnostic and monitoring tools
- Experience with building and maintaining SD-WAN, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and Public Clouds (AWS, Azure) environments
- Experience in steering external service providers and partners
- Experience in working with central Cybersecurity on infrastructure or application security compliance and remediation activities (e.g.: Risk Acceptance, Security Configuration Baseline)
- Good communication skills and intercultural sensitivity
