Join us as an IT Director and contribute to industry-leading genetic sciences tools and solutions that advance scientific discovery, enable customers in applied markets, and improve global health outcomes.
As an IT Director, Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic technology leader and trusted advisor to divisional executive leadership, partnering with VP/GMs and senior functional leaders to shape business strategy and accelerate growth through technology-enabled capabilities. You will drive alignment between business priorities and technology investments, ensuring delivery of solutions that enhance revenue growth, operational excellence, productivity, and customer value.
Working across Divisional, Group, and Corporate IT organizations, you will influence technology strategy, investment decisions, and portfolio priorities while fostering strong partnerships that enable business success.
What will you do?
- Serve as a strategic technology advisor to divisional leadership, influencing business strategy, investment decisions, and operational priorities.
- Develop and drive technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives, growth strategies, and enterprise priorities.
- Partner with VP/GMs and functional leaders to identify opportunities that drive revenue growth, productivity, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Influence technology portfolio planning, governance, and prioritization to maximize business value and return on investment.
- Evaluate business strategies and product roadmaps to identify technology-enabled solutions that create competitive advantage.
- Lead cross-functional teams and strategic vendor partnerships to deliver business outcomes and successful technology initiatives.
- Collaborate across Divisional, Group, and Corporate IT organizations to leverage enterprise capabilities, standards, and best practices.
- Build strong relationships across business and IT stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor at all levels of the organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in information technology or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience leveraging technologies such as CRM, ERP, and web-based solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of products, services, and commercial processes within life sciences, medical device, pharmaceutical, or related markets.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and leverage technology solutions to drive commercial success.
- Proven ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships and deliver solutions with speed, quality, and business impact.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities, assess feasibility, and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively at all levels of the organization
- MBA, PhD, MD, or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience leading digital transformation, AI, data, and analytics initiatives preferred.
- Experience supporting commercial enablement and growth-focused business functions preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $192,100.00–$288,100.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
