Compensation for this position is in the $61,000 to $69,000 range, depending on qualifications and experience.
AFSPA offers an excellent benefits package, including up to 13 vacation days, 13 sick days, and 2 personal days annually, as well as 10 paid federal holidays. All full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance (single and family) and life insurance starting the month following their start date. A generous 401(k) plan with employer match is also available after one year of employment.

Hybrid work schedules are based on business needs and may require you to work in the office up to four days per week
Summary:
Other duties as assigned. Administrative, operational, and project coordination support to the Information Technology department. This role supports IT projects, onboarding, communications, reporting, vendor coordination, and daily departmental operations, while assisting the Director, IT, with organizational and strategic initiatives. The position also serves as a liaison between IT, Operations, vendors, and internal departments to help support efficient technology services across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
IT Project & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate IT projects and operational initiatives by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables while collaborating with departments, vendors, and external partners.
- Collaborate with Operations and other departments on organization-wide initiatives, technology rollouts, workflow enhancements, and cross-functional projects requiring IT coordination and support.
- Assist with annual policy reviews, accreditation-related documentation, workflow analysis, and process improvement initiatives to support departmental efficiency, compliance, and standardization.
Executive and Administrative Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Director, IT, including scheduling coordination, meeting support, expense reporting, follow-up tracking, document preparation, and departmental communications.
- Assist with coordination of technology-related meetings, trainings, conference room support, presentations, webinars, and special organizational events as needed.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities for staff, including coordinating workstation readiness, equipment setup, system access requests, telephone configuration, badge coordination, and technology inventory assignments.
Communications & User Engagement
- Coordinate recurring IT communications, including weekly IT Tuesday posts, technology announcements, outage notifications, scheduled maintenance notices, and user guidance materials.
- Maintain professionalism and provide responsive customer support to staff, members, vendors, and guests while supporting IT operations during normal business hours and occasional after-hours activities as needed.
Reporting, Analytics, & Documentation
- Generate, compile, and distribute monthly operational and service-related reports, including technology usage data, ticket trends, project updates, inventory tracking, and other departmental analytics as assigned.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical IT documentation, asset inventories, equipment assignment records, procedural guides, and departmental reference materials.
Vendor, Purchasing & Financial Administration
- Prepare and track IT-related invoices, purchasing documentation, vendor communications, subscriptions, and contract-related records for review and approval.
Asset & Inventory Management
- Support inventory tracking and lifecycle coordination for IT equipment, including laptops, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices, and related technology assets.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience required.
- Must be highly organized with an aptitude for detail and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with ease.
- At times, must be able to work independently.
Work Location:
The following are work locations that AFSPA utilizes: New Carrollton, Maryland Satellite Office; Washington, DC Headquarters; and hybrid remote. Work location will be assigned and/or changed based upon business need and at Management’s sole discretion.
