Jr. Davis Construction is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Information Technology (IT) Department as an IT Coordinator/Administrator. The ideal candidate will be computer-savvy, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position will support daily IT operations, assist employees with technical needs, coordinate IT-related activities, and help maintain efficient technology systems throughout the company.

About the Role

We are looking for an organized and dependable IT Coordinator/Administrator to serve as the company's internalpoint of contact for IT coordination and equipment management. Our company partners with an external IT provider for technical support, systems, software, cybersecurity, and other major IT functions. This position will work closely with that provider while managing IT-related processes and responsibilities on our end.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, comfortable working with employees, and able to ensure that company IT procedures are followed consistently.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong follow-through and ability to track requests, open issues, equipment, and required documentation through completion
  • Ability to monitor compliance with company IT procedures and follow up with employees when procedures are not being followed
  • Ability to review and coordinate requests for device replacements, upgrades, and other technology-related purchases in accordance with company policies
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Must be comfortable enforcing company policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Familiarity with common business technology such as laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and basic networking equipment
  • Experience in an administrative or operations role involving company assets and employee compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal contact between the company and our outsourced IT provider
  • Help evaluate and coordinate requests for computer, phone, monitor, and other device upgrades or replacements
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of company-owned devices
  • Track equipment assigned to each employee and maintain appropriate records
  • Distribute devices and equipment to employees and ensure all required forms and acknowledgments are completed
  • Coordinate the collection and return of company equipment when employees transfer roles or leave the company
  • Monitor compliance with company IT policies and procedures and follow up with employees as needed
  • Help identify equipment that needs to be repaired, replaced, upgraded, or retired
  • Assist management with maintaining appropriate controls over company technology assets.
  • Communicate recurring IT-related concerns or trends to management and the outsourced IT provider
  • Perform other administrative and coordination duties related to company technology and equipmet

Important Note

This is primarily an IT coordination, asset management, and administrative position. The role is not responsible for managing the company's software infrastructure, servers, networks, cybersecurity systems, or other major technical IT functions. Those responsibilities are handled by our outsourced IT provider.
