What you will do
· Apply modern strategies and best practices to Global Signal and Monitoring environment
· Develop tools and automation systems for deployment, provisioning and configuration management of hundreds of servers
· Develop and manage processes and systems to handle InfoSec requirements for vulnerability mitigation, patching, and AV/compliance software installations.
· Provides L2/L3 support for Benelux Monitoring Team applications and service platforms (Fire/Security Monitoring, Managed Access, Hosted Video)
· Maintain and maximize uptime (>99.999%) for all life-safety applications – Monitoring, Video, and Access Control systems
How you will do it
· Ensure system uptime and availability
· Ensure rapid-response on-call services
· Provide Level 2/3 technical support for monitoring, access control and video system applications group
· Manage new software updates and enhancements (patch/upgrades)
· Manage IT vulnerabilities for CMC systems using software updates and CVE vulnerability DB recommendations
· Provide applications assistance to technical teams and the business
· Perform build or expansion of applications hardware and software
· Communication on trouble resolution
· Develop deployment and automation methodologies and systems
· Document product build/change
· Partner with JCI InfoSec teams for vulnerability mitigation/remediation strategies and processes
· Partner with business on future business needs, strategy, planning
· Document and solution enhancement requests (liaison to supplier)
· Contribute to development and execution of strategic plans as a highly skilled team member
What we look for
Required
· Understanding of virtualization, containers, and container management systems
· Knowledge of IT systems and concepts (network, hosting, storage, scripting)
· Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
· Superior problem assessment and troubleshooting skills
· Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical topics to vendors, team members and non-technical audiences
· Ability to work as part of a team and to interface with other teams as needed
· Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality
· 3-5 years of experience in the design, deployment and maintenance of complex application environments
· Ability to work on-call weekly rotations
Preferred
· Four (4) year degree or equivalent
· Certifications for relevant technologies (CCNA, MCSE, etc.)
· Strong Microsoft product skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, MSSQL Studio, etc.)
· Good level of writing and speaking English
