About the Role
As IT Category Manager, Indirect Procurement, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for IT categories, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to influence procurement strategy, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable impact in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT categories to meet business needs and reduce costs.
- Procurement Excellence: Manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to identify and select best-fit providers.
- Data-Driven Negotiation: Design negotiation strategies, assess supplier risks, and lead cross-functional teams for strategic decisions.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee renewals, amendments, and terminations while ensuring compliance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT, Legal, and Information Security teams to align requirements and negotiate terms.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct research and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions and stay ahead of trends.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships to improve performance and support business goals.
- Cost Optimization: Develop cost models, perform spend analysis, and present insights to identify efficiencies.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Use Oracle Fusion for P2P processes and lead automation initiatives.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Provide information for SOX controls and assist auditors.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop team members, fostering engagement and retention.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- 8+ years in strategic sourcing
- Proven ability to negotiate complex IT contracts and manage supplier relationships.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
- Expertise in contract management and risk evaluation.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change.
- Skilled in influencing and constructively challenging the status quo.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
