Business Systems Analyst – Adaptive Planning (Finance Systems)
Location: Pune, India
Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools, with a primary focus on Workday Adaptive Planning.
In this role, you will partner with finance and technology teams to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, and drive improvements across finance systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
● Own and support Adaptive Planning (FP&A) processes including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
● Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
● Translate business needs into functional specifications and system solutions
● Analyze and improve finance workflows and system efficiency
● Work with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance finance systems
● Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful delivery
● Participate in agile practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Must Have Skills
● Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
● Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
● Experience in business systems analysis / business analysis
● Ability to work closely with finance and technology stakeholders
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Good to Have Skills
● Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
● Exposure to integration tools such as Workato or similar platforms
● Experience in SaaS-based environments
● Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira
Preferred Experience
● Experience working on finance transformations or system implementations
● Exposure to finance processes such as R2R (Record to Report) or S2P (Source to Pay)
● Experience with data/reporting tools and dashboards

Skills Required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business systems analysis
- Strong familiarity with ERP solutions and finance processes (R2R, S2P)
- Experience with NetSuite (Core financials)
- Experience with Adaptive (Adaptive Insights)
- Experience with BlackLine
- Practical experience applying Agile methodologies
- Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements
- Proficiency in Jira or similar project management/issue-tracking tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and act as functional lead
- Willingness to use AI-driven tools to enhance productivity (preferred)
- Must be physically located in and able to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra (hybrid, local office attendance required)
