The IT Business Support Analyst role collects and assess data to support business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. This role collaborates with decision-makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational needs, establish systems goals, and address system-related issues. The IT Business Analyst I role is involved in evaluating the performance of current systems and developing strategies for enhancing or optimizing their use. This role is involved in post-project reviews and recommendations to identify successful elements and areas for improvement.

    Job Details:

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation on databases and daily production processes.

    • Conducting detailed interviews, workshops, and surveys with key stakeholders, including business leaders, end-users, and other relevant parties, with the goal of understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives comprehensively.

    • Ensure that all relevant information is captured accurately and comprehensively.

    • Translating business and technical requirements into formal business analysis deliverable documents.

    • Flexibility is key, as this role must adapt to changing business demands and project needs.

    • Collaborate closely with development team throughout the implementation/development process ensuring that the solutions being developed align perfectly with the business requirements.

    • Maintaining open lines of communication and providing ongoing support to help identify and resolve issues promptly, with ensuring that the final product not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the stakeholders.

    • Synergy between analysis, design, and development is crucial for delivering high-quality IT solutions that drive business success as throughout the project lifecycle, this role is responsible for writing and maintaining detailed requirement documents, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and project deliverables.

    • Testing and Quality Assurance; including creating test cases, participating in various types of testing (such as unit, integration, and user acceptance testing), and validating that the system performs as expected.

    • Identifies, documents, and tracks issues and defects, working closely with development teams to ensure they are resolved efficiently. 

    • Manage multiple projects with direction, possessing a strong customer service orientation.

    • Communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly terms.

    • Perform routine maintenance and configuration which could include manipulating accounts to meet operational needs using basic programs.

    • Basic understanding of the organization's goals and objectives, along with strong written and oral communication skills, is essential to this role.

    • Keen attention to detail, capable of working collaboratively within cross-functional teams across the organization.

    • Interacts directly with customers and end-users, understanding their business practices while managing their expectations.

    Job Requirements:

    • Hybrid/Remote opportunity!

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Industry standard certifications are a plus.

    • Must be able to obtain government clearance after hire. US Citizenship is required by the US government in order to obtain government clearance.

    • Less than three (3) years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of software and/or hardware solutions, systems, or products

    • High level of understanding of software design concepts and general technology concepts.

    • Advanced experience and skills with Microsoft Office and Visio tools

    • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

    • Ability to write and understand database queries.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    The starting pay range for this position is $48,000 - $60,000/year. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
