Job Description

At Viva Energy Australia, we’re transforming how Technology & Digital delivers value to the business. We’re looking for a Technology & Digital Business Operations Lead to play a critical role in enabling the successful execution of our strategy through strong governance, insights, and leadership support. As the T&D Business Operations Lead, you will drive disciplined planning, executive-level reporting, workforce insights, and risk visibility across our Technology & Digital portfolio.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with senior leaders, bringing clarity to complex portfolios and ensuring our initiatives are aligned, visible, and set up for success.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Leadership & Influence

  • Ability to work confidently with senior leaders and leadership teams.
  • Influences through insight, preparation and quality outputs rather than authority.

Technical & Tooling Proficiency

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint capability, including executive storytelling, synthesis and visual clarity.
  • Strong written communication and briefing skills.
  • Working knowledge of planning and reporting tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Excel, Power BI or equivalents).

Strategic & Commercial Acumen

  • Ability to understand strategic priorities and translate them into operational insights.
  • Awareness of financial, workforce and capacity drivers impacting delivery decisions.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented and dependable.
  • Calm under pressure with strong follow‑through.
  • Pragmatic, outcome‑focused and discreet.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Economics, Strategy, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in business operations, planning, PMO, reporting or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high‑quality executive‑level reporting.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders in complex, multi‑disciplinary environments.
  • Exposure to workforce planning, capacity management or portfolio environments
