The IT Business Analyst & Project Delivery Specialist supports the delivery of internal and client-facing initiatives by independently leading business analysis activities and partnering closely with project managers and business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. This role is primarily focused on owning requirements elicitation, documentation, process analysis, and delivery readiness activities, while also contributing to project delivery execution through active management of assigned initiatives or workstreams.

NOTE: The successful candidate for this position will have access to information subject to U.S. export controls under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or U.S. Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Based on the sensitivity of this information, the successful candidate must be a U.S. Person, as defined by ITAR, or, in the event the applicant is not a U.S. Person, be eligible for export licenses to be obtained from the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (“DDTC”) on a per-project basis to access ITAR and EAR controlled data and information.  A “U.S. Person” includes (a) U.S. citizens or nationals; (b) U.S. lawful permanent residents (i.e., “green card” holders); (c) persons granted refugee status; or (d) persons granted asylum in the United States. Company may choose not to apply for such license at its discretion due to federal approval timing considerations.

Qualifications

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Independently own business and functional requirements for assigned initiatives or workstreams from intake through implementation.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders including workshops, interviews, and working sessions.
  • Document business and functional requirements in a clear, structured, and delivery-ready manner.
  • Develop and maintain current-state and future-state process documentation including workflows, process diagrams, and responsibility matrices such as RACI.
  • Translate business needs into documentation consumable by project teams, technical resources, and leadership.
  • Develop, refine, and manage user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring traceability across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Serve as the authoritative source for requirements, scope, and documented decisions throughout delivery.

Training & Adoption Support

  • Develop and maintain training materials to support system and process rollouts including presentations, job aids, and reference guides.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate training sessions and working meetings for end users and managers.
  • Act as a functional subject matter resource during implementation and post-deployment stabilization periods.
  • Intake user feedback, issues, and enhancement requests and coordinate review and prioritization with project and product leadership.

Project Delivery Support

  • Partner with assigned project managers as a peer to support delivery planning, execution, and readiness.
  • Own assigned initiatives or workstreams, including planning, execution support, and status reporting.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope gaps, recommending mitigation strategies and resolution paths.
  • Support backlog refinement, delivery readiness, and cross-functional alignment activities.
  • Assist with stakeholder communications, working sessions, and delivery updates as needed.

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Participate in the refinement of internal documentation standards, templates, and delivery best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analysis, documentation, training, and delivery support approaches.
  • Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the business analysis and delivery community.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a business analyst, business systems analyst, or project delivery role.
  • Demonstrated experience independently gathering, documenting, and managing business or functional requirements.
  • Experience supporting project-based initiatives across multiple phases of delivery.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams to define needs and drive outcomes.
