About The Team

The FX Technology Program Delivery team is focussed on driving delivery and execution of Projects and Programmes within FX Technology. We work with each of the technology pillars across FX including Trading, Sales, Risk, Trade Processing and Data; also interfacing with the business counterparts that make up FX technology’s major stakeholders. Our mission is to enable the technology teams to deliver great software and regularly deliver value to the business through planned initiatives both short and long term. We will drive and support execution of technical projects and programmes, which could include initiatives such as digitisation, simplification, automation, introduction of new products and more. We will focus on efficiency, breaking complexity into manageable chunks, embracing Agile ways of working and ensuring delivery against priority objectives to achieve business and technology outcomes.  We provide appropriate governance and structure, while being conscious of the right balance of process to empower and accelerate teams.

Role Overview/What will you do:

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our expanding Program Delivery team. The role will include managing one or multiple projects or programs within the FX technology space. You will work with your peers in the Program Delivery team to ensure best practice governance is in place: identifying the cross functional delivery team, managing stakeholders, working with partners, aligning the technology roadmap with business objectives, collating and measuring benefits, creating and maintaining key project artefacts and overall driving successful delivery.

Responsibilities may include

As a PM

• Driving and coordinating technology delivery for one or multiple projects or programs
• Stakeholder management of both technology and business stakeholders up to executive level, including hosting and preparing Steering Committees, managing escalations, and managing multi-year delivery roadmaps
• Project and Program Management drawing on multiple methodologies as appropriate (Agile delivery with aspects of Scaled Agile or other methodologies as required)
• Aligning priority deliverables for a pillar or workstream, working with technology pillar leads business partners such as Product, Sales, and/or Trading.
• Translating priority projects into plans – outlining scope, success criteria and identifying high level deliverables for the critical path
• Drive and track delivery against priority items, as-well as measuring success against benefits and key metrics
• Support the Technology domain lead with priorities and planning for the development teams – translating cross department, high level objectives into shorter term Jira backlogs, sprints or kanban boards as required.
• Identifying risks and issues and driving to resolution or escalating as required
• Ability to lead, influence and inspire delivery teams, often through matrix management of individuals from multiple different teams and functions  

As a BA

• Gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specifications across multiple functions.
• Develop Subject Matter Expertise on key applications within FX Technology
• Ensure adherence to and develop best practices supporting Citi’s Project Management Standards
• Ensure the business needs are met with the most elegant and timely technology solutions
• Ensuring proper development life cycle is followed with artefacts to support Internal Audit and any inquiries
• Go-live support, investigation of issues.
• Partner with business & technology leads globally to deliver an E2E solution.
• Partner with business, technology and stakeholders to suggest innovative solutions to existing issues
• Work with technology leads across various teams to accomplish the project objectives

Additional Responsibilities:

• Create presentations, including for Operating Committees and Steering Committees
• Chair meetings with application developers and with stakeholders, ranging from daily scrums to weekly updates to ad-hoc technical workshops
• Input into the central Program Delivery team governance processes and best practices; ensuring high standard Project and Program delivery and enabling central standardisation across the department

Experience:

• Experience in FO FX (preferred) or another FO Markets area as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager
• Experience managing complex technology projects involving technical teams and many moving parts
• Experience working with developers and technical teams
• Understanding of technology and the application development lifecycle
• Ability to understand complex systems and flows
• Experience managing projects in either Waterfall or Agile, with history of planning, risk mitigation and tracking
• Understanding of Agile and related methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, including ceremonies (daily stand ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) and planning mechanisms (epics, user stories, sprints) would be highly beneficial
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar tools are a must
