Valmont is seeking an IT Business Analyst Intern to join the Information Technology team.  The IT Business Analyst Intern is a supporting member of the ERP transform team focused primarily on the documentation of current business processes. This includes gathering business requirements from product owners. You will apply proven communication, analytical, testing, and problem-solving skills to help create efficient and effective systems and processes.  You will have the ability to work well in a diverse team environment that has the aptitude to work with multiple teams across the world.

Essential Functions:

• Work with product owners to obtain current state business processes and translate into standard BPMN 2.0 diagrams.
• Work with IT Transformation team as well as existing product owners to document future state BPMN 2.0 diagrams for the SAP Transformation project.
• Support IT Transformation team as well as  commercial and operation with process documentation.
• Create process improvements by working with cross-functional team.
• Create training documentation based on future state processes.
• Create workflows and process maps within SAP Signavio.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Junior or Senior standing with progress towards a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain/Operations, Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA), FinTech, or other relevant field.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation. 
• Great communication skills and problem-solving skills. 

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Agile methodology. 
• Coursework completion in information technology, management information systems, or other relevant courses.
• Interest in technology. 
• Experience in data visualization tools.
• Comfortable taking self-paced classes on the web.
