Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Technology Projects in the project management and oversight of all IT projects within CIBC Malaysia, including business consultation, effort estimation, testing, planning, and management of technical teams to deliver successful solutions.
  • Analyse, design, implement, and enhance existing and/or new systems and software.
  • Automate existing manual business processes (including data extraction) to improve turnaround time for management and regulatory reporting.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance data quality and integrity, improve turnaround time for loan operational processes, and increase productivity of client managers.
  • Develop data analytics methods to improve client relationships and better predict early warning signals.
  • Capture and produce Business Requirement Specifications (BRS).
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and work closely with the Quality Assurance and Technology teams to ensure system stability.
  • Understand business unit process workflows to ensure that newly developed systems and/or enhancements to existing systems are aligned with business needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual capital project proposals for new initiatives and enhancements to existing systems impacting corporate and operational applications.
  • Provide support and assistance to users within CIBC Malaysia on day‑to‑day IT-related issues.

 

Key Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience managing banking-related projects, preferably in corporate loan management, Loan Origination Systems, or SIBS core banking systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
  • Experience in database management, programming/software development, and/or data analytics is an added advantage.
