The Role
Description

For our office based in Milan, we are looking for an IT Assistant to join our team and support our internal clients in their daily duties, allowing them to seamlessly use the required IT software and hardware. As IT Assistant you are committed to fixing technical issues and advising the end-users on IT topics in a clear and simple non-IT way. You will be a part of the team and work together with Dentons Europe IT to achieve common goals as well as individual goals set by the office management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first line on-site technical support, answering user queries relating to hardware and software problems, via phone, email or in person
  • Analyse users' problems or enquiries
  • Follow through to resolution within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
  • Provide hands-on support when needed
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensure users can continue to work smoothly
  • Give clients confidence that their issue has been understood and is being dealt with promptly, keeping them informed about progress, driving issues through to resolution, offering workarounds where applicable
  • Log all IT incidents and Service Requests on the ticketing system, where appropriate, escalate any issue to Europe IT support in a timely manner
  • Adhere to local and regional IT operational standards
  • Adhere to duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position
  • Be able to work on an on-demand basis
Requirements

Technical Skills

  • General understanding of IT principles (Hardware, Software, Networking, Security, Virtualization, mobile devices)
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 (troubleshooting), Active Directory, Office 365, Coreview and remote support tools (at least few of them)
  • Experience of working with applications used by legal firms is an advantage (time capture, document comparison, legal information systems)

Personal Skills

  • Between 1 and 2 years of experience in a corporate IT department – Help Desk, Service Desk or Desktop Support
  • Italian native speaker or C1 level
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken/written English (C1 level)
  • High level of empathy, professionalism and diplomacy
  • Teamwork skills and "can-do" attitude
  • Good organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and have a motivation to grow in the IT industry
  • IT training skills are an asset
