IT Architect I
SUMMARY:
Designs and develops solutions based on business requirements. Interfaces with clients to identify specific system requirements and feasibility of solutions. Provides integration strategies and assists in troubleshooting component applications and technologies. Provides detailed documentation as needed.

JOB DUTIES
- Leads the design and architecture of innovative solutions that solve complex business challenges from proof of concept to productional deployment.
- Performs and advises the analysis, evaluation, modification, testing, and implementation of enterprise-wide systems with a large scope and unusual parameters.
- Researches, analyzes, designs, proposes, and delivers solutions that are appropriate for the company's business and technology strategies.
- Leads the diagnoses of complex problems and issues with enterprise-wide systems by using different areas of knowledge and wide-ranging experience.
- Develops programming and development standards and procedures as well as program architectures for code reuse.
- Defines architectures and designs across multiple IT functional areas.
- Uses creative thinking to evaluate alternative proposals to meet cost, time, and benefits to satisfy anticipated needs.
- Researches and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and possible applications to the business.
- Develops tests of systems specifications using the latest diagramming tools to meet business requirements and uses results to influence others outside of their area of expertise.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand requirements and define technical strategies.
- Works on multiple projects as the project leader or as the subject matter expert.
- Develops architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to guide implementation.
- Evaluates emerging technologies and drive adoption where applicable.
- Mentors and coaches development teams on best practices and architectural principles.
- Ensures adherence to architectural standards, security protocols, and coding guidelines.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically has a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Requires expert knowledge and experience using XML, JavaScript, HTML, Crystal, and SQL.
- Some demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills.
- Strong communication skills and oral presentation skills.
- Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.
- Strong proficiency in software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a passion for driving innovation and excellence.
