IT Application Support Engineer I

Overview & Responsibilities

Job Description

• This position will provide application support for ServiceNow as well as supporting other areas/systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administration, maintenance and configuration support multiple ServiceNow application environments (Production, Development, Test) to support the global roll out of ServiceNow to all EC subsidiaries and the ISD.

• Administration, maintenance and configuration support of Oracle CRM.

• Assistance in migration from Oracle CRM to Salesforce.

• Provide technical programming expertise on global systems projects, work requests, and problem situations.

• Participate in global planning, execution and testing of new application implementations and existing application upgrades throughout the global enterprise (Ebara and Ebara Elliott Energy).

• Ensure that technical/programming aspects of systems projects meet global requirements and identify and resolve system issues.

• Work closely with other Business Systems Analysts and other Application Support Engineers in testing of software and applications under development/implementation in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related field or equivalent requisite experience.

• Three to Five years or more of experience in IT industry working as a software engineer, an application specialist, system administrator or similar role in a global corporate environment working with global enterprise applications (i.e. ServiceNow, Oracle CRM OnDemand, Salesforce, Workday and other commercial business applications).

Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge and experience with JavaScript.

• Working knowledge and experience with PL/SQL, Oracle Database, MS SQL, SQL Server, and/or other databases.

• Working knowledge and experience with administration, maintenance and configuration of commercial business application software.

• Theoretical and practical knowledge of markup languages like HTML and XML

• Theoretical and practical knowledge of cloud applications, networks, PCs, Servers, Microsoft desktop operating systems and office applications.

Business Skills:

• Working knowledge and experience in supporting users across key areas of the business and identifying business requirements and problems.

• Theoretical and practical knowledge of one or more end-to-end business processes.

• Experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of automated business application software.

• Knowledge and experience with sound project management techniques and software tools.
